Admissions Ward 5 admits patients 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week. Planned (elective) admissions usually take place between 10am and 2 pm. Emergency admissions can take place at any time. If an admission happens during the night we try to limit any disturbance to a minimum but a certain amount of noise cannot be avoided and we apologise for this. Please Note: If you have home care services (home help and or carer) it is important to let them know you are coming into hospital so that care can be stopped while you are in hospital. If you have been unable to contact them before your admission to hospital please let the nurse know so that she can top them for you
