This section has been set up for Dads. A lot of Dads feel helpless when a new born baby is introduced into your relationship.  You’ll probably feel overjoyed but a little left out wondering how you can contribute and be involved in your new born baby’s life.  However, It is important that you share experiences with your new baby and partner from as early as possible.   The most important thing you can do is to BE HELPFUL as and when you can. You may think there is not much that you can do in the early days of your new born baby but there are many ways you will be able to help with.  For example you can help:

–        When your baby needs winding (usually after feeds)

–        Spend some time with your baby – you can read to your baby, play with your baby or go out for a stroll

–        change nappies

–        ensure that the baby’s mother gets enough food, fluid, rest

–        with emotional support and just being there for baby and mum
