Moray is the proud holder of the Healthy Working Lives Gold Award, achieving Bronze, Silver, Gold and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commendation in less than 2 years.  They are the first NHS Team in Scotland, outside Glasgow to attain all four awards - congratulations!

"This is a tremendous achievement for staff at Dr Gray's and our five Community Hospitals, Seafield, Leanchoil, Fleming, Turner and Stephen" said Andrew Fowlie, General Manager.  "I particularly commend the proactive approach of the Moray Community Health & Social Care Partnership Healthy Working Lives Steering Group who have driven and co-ordinated a wide range of activities to secure this great accolade.  They are a committed team with more activities scheduled over the coming months and years, to ensure that the momentum of HWL continues."

Gold Award activities included healthy eating, physical activities, the restoration and replanting of Dr Gray's Rose Garden and continuing work to create a sensory garden at the hospital.

Helen Thompson, Chair of the Steering Group added "it is impossible to name everyone that has helped to achieve this award.  All the Hospitals and Community Teams within Moray have worked hard to ensure HWL activities are available and accessible to staff, regardless of their location."

Helen, with Health Improvement Officer, Laura Sutherland from Moray aswell as Jill Perchard, Clinical Nurse Manager from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary attended the HWL Ceremony in October, where Dr Lesley Wilkie presented the awards.
