As important as it is to look after your new born baby you need to make sure that you are also looking after yourself.  You may feel exhausted, tearful and feel like your not coping; you should not feel ashamed about this, it’s very common.  There are 3 important things you can do to look after yourself:

 

  • Eat regularly
  • Take plenty of fluids
  • Rest whenever you can
